Returning to Kuala Lumpur for the second time, OFI Asia 2008 is back to showcase the latest equipment, technologies and services in the Asian edible Oils & Fats market. The event will be held at the new, high-tech Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Malaysia on 21-23 October 2008.

Once again, OFI Asia 2008 will be held in conjunction with the Malaysian Oil Scientists’ and Technologists’ Association (MOSTA) and incorporating the Oils and Fats International Congress (OFIC).

Malaysia is a global leader in the production and export of palm oil products, currently accounting for 51% of world production and 62% of world exports. The country also aims to be the world’s biggest producer of biodiesel and the worldwide demand for this product is set to increase significantly. Malaysia has an important role to play in fulfilling the growing global need for oils and fats in general.

MOSTA

Inaugurated on September 7, 1989, the Malaysian Oil Scientists' and Technologists' Association (MOSTA) is an association of scientists, technologists and other professionals aiming to promote and advance oils and fats science, technology and commerce.
